Michael Ignatieff is currently the President and Rector at CEU (Central European University) in Budapest. Ignatieff is a distinguished author, university professor and politician. He examines issues of democracy, governance, history and human rights. Before joining CEU, Ignatieff held positions at prestigious universities in Canada, England and the US. Ignatieff’s political experience includes leading the Liberal Party of Canada and serving as a member of the Canadian Parliament. Ignatieff is also known for authoring numerous books and articles. His newest book, The Ordinary Virtues: Moral Order in a Divided World, is scheduled for release in September 2017.
