The awards jury is independent of PILnet and PILnet staff, and includes prominent members from civil society and the private legal community.
This award recognizes the best pro bono legal project undertaken as collaboration between an NGO and a law firm, with an impact felt in more than one country.
This award honors the best innovative pro bono legal project at the local/national level. Nominations included both partnerships and independent projects, from law firms, NGOs, bar associations and the wider pro bono community.
Founded by PILnet, the Budapest and the Hungarian Bar Associations, this award will recognize Hungarian public interest lawyers in two categories. Its purpose is to provide public recognition and prestige for the work volunteered by practicing attorneys serving NGOs, community intiatives and individuals, either on a local, regional or national level. The two categories are as follows:
